Phil Taylor of has interviewed Servicepoint’s Chief Technology Officer, Iiro Jantunen, regarding the Russian serialization pilot

Phil Taylor of has interviewed Servicepoint’s Chief Technology Officer, Iiro Jantunen, about the Russian pharmaceutical serialization pilot, and what models the Russian pharmaceutical companies have at their disposal. Feel free to contact us for more information on the subject.

Jantunen, who has followed very closely the ongoing serialization pilot in Russia, has found some differences between the Russian pharmaceutical track and trace plan to the EU system.

“In Russia, track and trace is not only about following the serial numbers through the logistics chain but for visibility on use, storage levels, bottlenecks, pricing and age of products that the government officials are going to get. The full track and trace requires aggregation, and the aggregation data should be sent to the government data repository, the FGIS-MDLP.”
