OnRobot’s innovative Plug & Produce grippers and sensors help manufacturers make the most of the potential for cooperative robots. Grippers are easy to use, cost-effective and can be used safely alongside a human worker. The gripper or sensor can be attached directly to the arm of the cobot and easily programmed, thus accelerating the automation process considerably.

From the videos below you can see how easy On Robot RG2 gripper installation is

Cooperation with suitable gripper

The RG2 and RG6 grippers have been designed for seamless integration with the collaborative robot arms from Universal Robots. Both grippers are easy to mount and install with installation kits and work without any external cables, so any robot movement can be carried out without worrying about cable placement. Collaborative grippers are true Plug & Produce solutions. The fast installation and simple programming of the grippers reduce your deployment time by 30%.

The RG2 and RG6 grippers come with a single mounting bracket and are also available in a precision configuration which features safety shields for the gripper fingers and a precision mounting bracket.

RG2 and RG6 grippers provide:

  • Plug & Produce feature, that is easy to mount, connect, install
  • Easy installation with self-installing software and programming from the UR teach pendant
  • Adjustable force and width detection
  • Possibility to install grippers between 0° to 180° at 30° steps
  • Automatic tool center point (TCP) calculation
  • Automatic payload calculation
  • Versatility, that handles many different sized objects and is easily reconfigured
  • Infinite loop on UR3; no cables stopping the robot arm movement

  • Assembly
  • Machine Tending
  • Packaging and Palletizing
  • Pick & Place

Detect objects with intelligent gripping

You can automate high precision assembly tasks with OnRobot RG2-FT. The inbuilt 6 axis F/T sensors at the fingertips provide extremely accurate gripping for better production quality.

Sensor designed for precision work

OnRobot 6-axis force/torque sensors provide 6 degrees of freedom force and torque measurement. Our sensors are designed to fit most of the currently used industrial robot arms. Integration with various available interfaces is simple. Common applications are force control devices, teach-in activities, and crash detection, but the sensors can be used next to end-effectors in case of grinding, polishing or deburring tools.

You can choose between two models:

HEX-E – High Precision work
HEX-H – Low Deformation

  • Integration with a number of user interfaces is simple. The deployment of the robot is quick and thus the return on investment is also shorter
  • Easy programming. Automate within 15 minutes of complex, precision tasks with an easy-to-use graphical user interface
  • You have ready-made easy-to-use applications such as sorting, palletizing, assembling, finishing, etc. – no need for complex programming
  • Possibility to automate tasks that previously required human work
  • You can automate tasks that require accuracy and thus enable new and higher quality standards for production.
  • Boost your time management

  • Assembly
  • Surface finishing
  • Quality testing & inspection
