ON ROBOT

OnRobot’s innovative Plug & Produce grippers and sensors help manufacturers make the most of the potential for cooperative robots. Grippers are easy to use, cost-effective and can be used safely alongside a human worker. The gripper or sensor can be attached directly to the arm of the cobot and easily programmed, thus accelerating the automation process considerably.

From the videos below you can see how easy On Robot RG2 gripper installation is

Cooperation with suitable gripper

RG2 and RG6 grippers are designed to be seamlessly integrated with Universal Robots collaboration robots. Both grippers are suitable for versatile parts handling and are easy to mount to the robotic arm. Efforts have been made to minimize the number of external cables to maximize the robot’s movement. Grippers are true Plug & Produce solutions, with quick deployment and programming that reduce deployment time by 30%.

Both gripper models come with a single mounting bracket and the gripper is also available with precision specifications, which include protectors for the gripper and a mounting plate designed for precision work.

RG2 and RG6 grippers provide:

  • Plug & Produce feature, that is easy to mount, connect, install
  • Easy installation with self-installing software and programming from the UR teach pendant
  • Adjustable force and width detection
  • Possibility to install grippers between 0° to 180° at 30° steps
  • Total stroke: RG3-gripper 110 mm and RG6-gripper 160 mm.
  • Automatic tool center point (TCP) calculation
  • Automatic payload calculation
  • Infinite loop on UR3; no cables stopping the robot arm movement

Applications

  • Assembly
  • Machine Tending
  • Packaging and Palletizing
  • Pick & Place

Sensor designed for precision work

OnRobot 6-axis force/torque sensors provide 6 degrees of freedom force and torque measurement. Our sensors are designed to fit most of the currently used industrial robot arms. Integration with various available interfaces is simple. Common applications are force control devices, teach-in activities, and crash detection, but the sensors can be used next to end-effectors in case of grinding, polishing or deburring tools.

You can choose between two models:

HEX-E – High Precision work
HEX-H – Low Deformation

Features:

  • Integration with a number of user interfaces is simple. The deployment of the robot is quick and thus the return on investment is also shorter
  • Easy programming. Automate within 15 minutes of complex, precision tasks with an easy-to-use graphical user interface
  • You have ready-made easy-to-use applications such as sorting, palletizing, assembling, finishing, etc. – no need for complex programming
  • Possibility to automate tasks that previously required human work
  • You can automate tasks that require accuracy and thus enable new and higher quality standards for production.
  • Boost your time management

Applications:

  • Assembly
  • Surface finishing
  • Quality testing & inspection
