Servicepoint disseminated information about serialization in Moscow
We took part in the EEU & CIS Pharmaceutical Forum held in Moscow on 1–3 March. The Forum was attended by around 100 pharmaceutical manufacturers from Russia, Eastern Europe, and other former Soviet countries. Chief Customer Officer Timo Jauhiainen from Servicepoint and Somer Hernandez from Systech International were there to talk about serialization at a time when serialization regulation is taking strides forward in Russia.
“Drug license issues, however, seem to be even more pressing than regulation because manufacturers are very keen to produce and export drugs to Europe,” says Jauhiainen.
Servicepoint is closely monitoring developments in Russian serialization regulation because the hundreds of drug manufacturers in the country are potential clients. Servicepoint represents Systech International’s serialization devices in Russia. Servicepoint’s Business Development Manager Iiro Jantunen looks at the schedule and content of Russia’s serialization legislation in his blog.
“What is interesting is that Russia is planning a full serialization and track & trace system from the pharmaceutical manufacturers to the end-users with extra functionality,” writes Jantunen.
